During the workshop, your pupils will help our Egyptian explorer assemble an incredible giant (it will absolutely fill your classroom - 50 separate pieces!) model of the King’s Pyramid at Giza. We will be able to discover where the passages lead, and explore the hidden chambers and escape tunnels. We also examine an absolutely beautiful model of the temple complex that sat next to the pyramid. Once this is complete, we turn to the mummification process. Using a specially designed mannequin and sarcophagus, we prepare the body for mummification, remove organs, and place them in real canopic jars. We will then take it in turns to wrap the mummy while listening to a number of incredible Egyptian myths. A fascinating workshop, full of secrets, stories, and surprises!
