During the workshop, our Tudor knight arrives in a full harness of historically accurate plate armour, an absolutely incredible and iconic (and noisy!) sight. With him, he brings a huge collection of medieval arms and armour, all of which your students can safely handle and hold. Our knight then begins to tell the tale of the death of Richard III, and how the Tudors came to power. It's an incredible, action packed, and at time gruesome story, that helps set the stage for us to explore the lives of the Tudor Monarchs, and Henry VIII in particular. We also study and hold a wide range of medical, clothing, and kitchen artefacts (plus a very chilling executioner's block and axe!), in order to discover what day-to-day life in the Tudor period was really like. We finish with a number of engaging Tudor games, poems, and stories.
